XGames FranceSpring is just around the corner and this season's snow will be gone in a matter of weeks.  Before we put our boots and boards away for the warmer months, we have to get ready for the fourth annual European Winter X Games in Tignes, France!  The best skiers and snowboarders have been training all season, routinely practicing their favorite tricks and working on their fundamental skills.

Men's skiers from the United States, Canada, and France are all coming into the competition feeling confident, having collectively dominated the sport over the last few years.  Every year the competition has gotten progressively more intense, and this month's games should be no different.

These games' snowboarding events will be without 23-time medalist Shaun White, who will not travel to France in order to have as much time as possible to prepare for next year's Winter Olympics.  That does not mean that there won't be a buzz around snowboarding in Tignes.  The fourteen-year old, Japanese sensation Ayumu Hirano will be competing in the men's SuperPipe, even though he is a good ten years younger than most of his competition.  He just won a silver medal at the games in Aspen, and has already proven that he can compete with the best in the world.  It will be interesting to watch this young man evolve and inspiring to see him pour so much effort into competing against the experienced pros.

The end of the games will basically mark the end of the season, so be sure to make a trip to the mountains once more before then!  We know snowboarders here at BuyiJet, and offer products to make your time on the slopes more enjoyable.

The games in Tignes will be held from March 20th through the 22nd, and will be televised on ESPN.  This month's games will bring tons of action and excitement, but are especially interesting because it will be the last chance for teams to measure their opponents before next year's Winter Olympics to be held in Sochi, Russia.
